Travel to the ecolodge requires that you fly into Iquitos, Peru. From Iquitos we take you by motor boat up the amazing Amazon River, for a distance of about 180 kilometers away from Iquitos. 2 hours by bus and then 2 more hours by motor boat by Marañon and Ucayali river where you gonna see those 2 majestic rivers and the meeting of those rivers where the amazon is born.
The trip takes 4 hours by our typical boat. Amazonia’s main lodge on Yarapa River is not a resort, not a hotel, but a rustic lodge, comfortable for adventurous travelers. There are 12 cabins; some are honeymoon cabins, with a king-size bed, others are cabins 2-3 beds and a few are family style with a matrimonial bed and several single beds . More than half of the cabins now have new private bathrooms. The others, often used for student groups, have shared bathrooms.
The ecolodge is right on yarapa community reserve upriver. The ecolodge, quieter, but it is still comfortable and cozy with private cabins, a hammock room. and delicious buffet style meals. All cabins are on raised stilts and feature balconies, with half of the cabins overlooking the river, and the other half overlooking the forest. All cabins and bathrooms. Are electrified.
